Whenever his name is mentioned other Blue Mountains artists know him and have positive things to say. His enthusiasm for his art is obvious and he is not deterred by having to travel from the upper mountains each week for life drawing sessions, carrying his art gear under his arm. James is also an active member of the Blackheath Art Society and has won many awards at their exhibitions. More of his work can be found on Blackheath Art Society's gallery webpage. The Life Drawing and Painting Exhibition which is being held over the weekend of is another opportunity for everyone to see a wide range of members works including unframed drawings, framed drawing and paintings. Previous exhibitions have generated a lot of interest and it is always amazing to see the range of approaches to depicting the human form.
